Areas Served: Northern Virginia Ms Hoffman grew up in Scotland in a family-owned fabric business. By age 16 she was buying fabrics for each of the four stores. She began her first business at age 17 buying and renovating old apartments with her own designs and style. She gave up her business before moving to the United States in 1974. She continued to decorate as a hobby and began a career in management. Throughout her corporate career she took design courses for stimulation and fun. Ms Hoffman's additional education is in psychology and business and she is trained as a family and workplace mediator. Her volunteer experience includes suicide prevention, crisis intervention and as a hospice bereavement counselor. She has also served as president of her homeowners association and co-president of her religious community. Moving and Redecorating Services, as the name implies, offers different and complimentary services. As a certified member of the Interior Refiners Network, Ms Hoffman offers one-day redecorating services. She coordinates the numerous details and logisitcs of residential moves and provides real estate ready design plans and move-in coordination and decorating services. She also offers repair and improvement coordination. Ms Hoffman is a member of Herndon Rotary, Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, Herndon Dulles Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Woman Business Owners/Northern Virginia (NAWBO/NoVa). |
